Methods of  Research Writing

This course is a brief overview about designing a BA research that is intended to cover the basics of designing and implementing a scientific study. This course will address every step of the research process.

Early Modern Poetry

This course refers to the Early Modern poetry, introducing the poetic diction, philosophy and ideology of the age through their writings. It covers the historical background of the period, general characters of the age and early modern poetry. 

Early Modern Drama

 Tis course provides a critical introduction to theatre history. Through the plays, we will examine what” theatre” is in different periods and places.

Literary Criticism I

this course studies what is the nature of imaginative literature? Then the course will follow the development of Literary Criticism beginning with Plato until the modern period.

Semantic

The objective of this course is to develop the students' knowledge of the study of meaning "Semantics" which they were acquainted with in the previous course. The present course will aim at widening this knowledge cumulatively in the specified field. 

Early Modern Novel

The course will cover all chapters of the novel “ Great Gatsby” by  FRANCIS SCOTT KEY FITZGERALD as well as using a film showing on the textbook. The presentation of the novel based on a general discussion on the plot of the book and its characters

Generative Syntax

The course presents the motivation for the modern generative approach to the scientific study of language and develops systematically a generative transformational treatment of the most basic syntactic constructions of English language.
