This course refers to the Late Modern poetry, introducing the poetic diction, philosophy and ideology of the age through their writings. It covers the historical background of the period, general characters of the age, rise of feminism, and late modern poetry.
Late Modern Drama
This course provides a critical introduction to theatre studies, in its branches of dramatic literature, dramatic theory, and theatre history.

Literary Criticism II
This course deals with the practical type of literary criticism. It is a sort of completion for Literary Criticism which the students studied in the first semester. In this course students will put theory into practice.
Pragmatics
The objective of this course is to develop the students' knowledge of the study of speaker/connotative meaning (Pragmatics) which they were briefly acquainted with in the previous course. The present course aims at widening this knowledge cumulatively in the specified field.
Late Modern Novel
The course will cover all chapters of the novel “Animal Farm” by George Orwell as well as using a film showing on the textbook. The presentation of the novel based on a general discussion on the plot of the book and its characters.
Translation (Kurdish /Arabic into English
This course is devoted to 2nd year students in the Department of Translation who need to develop written translating skills which they are expected to use in their future careers or academic work. It is a two side course.
